![]() ![]() As a separate issue, I also appear to get the single video flicker when pre-waits are added to group or auto-followed cues that fade in video. Go to the Audio Levels tab and be sure youre adjusting at least one of the controls there to set the fade level. Basically if the text is above the fade cue in a timeline group it works, but if if it is below it does not work. If you add a Fade cue, target an audio cue, and do nothing else, itll automatically stop the cue after the 3 second fade, but wont actually fade anything. This allows you to choose which channels of the sound you want to fade. It kinda sounds like you arent assigning a fade level. ![]() Here is the code you will want to put into this script. When a Fade cue targets a Group cue, QLab attempts to apply the result of that fade to all the child cues within the Group. Only live sliders and knobs will actually be applied to the target cue. (As I have described before, I always have a Cue List that has a number of scripts and hotkeys, so I keep them out of my show’s Cue List.) ![]() Enter this Applescript, which changes the level of all selected audio cues, up or down, by a number that I am prompted to type.Ĭreate a new script cue, and put it in your Cue List that has such things. I didn’t want to just change the output level of my computer or Qlab, however, because that would have impacted all of my other cues. Create several Video cues and place them within a Group cue to your taste. Once I got into the space and started tech, I had to adjust my levels to something that worked within the context of the actor performances. So, as part of the sound design, we had laugh tracks cued up. The director was my friend John Regis, who wanted to present the play as if it were a ‘70s sitcom. The idea behind a manually advancing Playlist Group is to give you control of the Group that’s outside the regular GO-button flow of your performance. I ran into this when designing a production of Merry Wives of Windsor. That’s sort of part of the point if you wanted to keep using the space bar, you could use a Start-first-and-enter Group and set each cue inside that group to fade and stop peers. Perhaps you would like to change a number of audio cue levels by the same amount?
